What opportunities for participation in the art, culture and pop industries do people with disabilities have? How is “being disabled” negotiated in these areas? How do you become famous “with”,
“despite” or “thanks” to a disability?
In the panel “famous, admired, disabled?” we want to take a look at the status quo together with inclusion activists, icons from the German pop world and those who implement inclusive (youth) culture projects. We also want to take a look into the future: Which groundbreaking ideas are currently emerging? How can young people with disabilities be empowered to find their place in (pop) culture and expand it in the long term?
