This panel is the discussion round for the previous keynote on the status of the study and the identified challenges and potentials of the Stuttgart night economy.

As part of the preview panel, the first results of the ongoing nocturnal economic study in Stuttgart will be presented. The study is being developed jointly by a project consortium consisting of the planning office c/o Zukunft, the urban researcher Jakob F. Schmid and the experts Kordula Kunert, Alexander Bücheli and Jörg Kosinski. They combine relevant experience in the management of the night economy as well as urban planning and economic skills. Individual local economic, urban spatial and socio-cultural facets and specifics of Stuttgart’s nightlife are to be highlighted and discussed with local actors and the participants. Value added tax evaluations, spatial analyses, interviews and a company-and-guest survey form the basis.
