About Pop

ABOUT POP is a festival and convention and will take place for the fifth time in Stuttgart on July 22, 2023. The program includes international, national and regional live acts, lectures, workshops and much more – all in one day in different rooms of the Wizemann Areal.

About Night

The ABOUT POP highlights important developments, trends and phenomena of the entire pop culture. ABOUT NIGHT is part of ABOUT POP and revolves around important topics from night culture and night economy. The “Koordinierungsstelle Nachleben” (nightlife coordination office) for Stuttgart and the region is primarily involved in the design of ABOUT NIGHT.

About Talents

We want to encourage young musicians, producers, DJs and all those who are active in pop cultural structures to exchange ideas and network – whether in management, booking or with their own label, whether as a video director, PR manager or journalist. Participants can choose from a variety of workshops, courses, networking formats and talks. These especially clarify the important questions about the pop business and encourage you to find your way in the industry, to pursue it further and to develop as an artist.

We are working together with the Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern e.V. to make the event as barrier-free as possible. More detailed information will be available soon.

Contact

The team behind ABOUT POP is the Stuttgart Region Pop Office, the Pop-Büro! The Pop-Büro is the only publicly funded institution for the promotion of pop music and pop culture and is the central point of contact for artists and those involved in pop culture. As a partner, we promote, develop and plan projects in pop music, pop and youth culture. We also contribute significantly to the character and quality of the Stuttgart economic region, actively support and accompany youth culture and define cultural spaces and offerings in the Stuttgart region. Directions

The Wizemann area (and thus also the Im Wizemann and the Impact Hub) can be found at Quellenstr. 7, 70376 Stuttgart. You can get there by public transport (Glockenstraße stop) or by car.
Public transport: From the Glockenstraße stop, walk a short distance uphill and cross Pragstraße at the traffic light. If you keep going uphill for a bit and then turn right into Quellenstraße, you will be there in a few minutes.
Car: If you arrive by car, you can park in the Wizemann parking garage (top two floors). We ask that you do not use the numbered private parking spaces at the beginning of Quellenstraße. However, despite parking spaces, we ask you to refrain from using your car as far as possible and to use public transport.

Entry

The entrance will probably be in front of the Im Wizemann again in 2023. All tickets are valid all day and you can come and go at any time.

Pre-Sessions

From April 21 until June, various so-called pre-sessions – various cultural events in Stuttgart region – will take place in different locations – some organized by us, many in cooperation with the locations. Program

We are currently working feverishly on finalizing our program for ABOUT POP 2023 and some live acts have already been announced. You can always find out about the latest news on Instagram and from mid-April also completely on our website.

Tickets

There are standard tickets and discounted tickets. All tickets (regardless of their category) are also valid for the pre-sessions. More info about tickets and the ticket store can be found here.

Venue

As a venue (or: location) we have found a very versatile place with the Wizemann Areal. Here you can find more background information about the former industrial area, which is now used as a cultural location.
